Sapsucker Farms
Maple Syrup
March is generally a pretty ugly time of year in Minnesota. You can’t play in the snow because it’s melting away, and you can’t play in the great outdoors because it’s all in transition. But then we discovered that it’s really fun to play in the mud, collecting sap for making maple syrup.

Sapsucker Farms has 500 taps and we collect the sap with five-gallon buckets. That gives us and anyone who joins us, the chance to get out and tromp around in the woods. At the same time get a little exercise and make some of nature’s finest hooch.

There are many legends about the discovery of maple syrup. While we don’t know the true origins, we are just thankful that someone figured it out, so we can enjoy this sweet, natural, delicacy today.
To purchase Sapsucker Farms maple syrup, just contact us via email, and we will be happy to make arrangements with you. Sorry, we’re just a little mom-and-pop operation, so we don’t (yet) take VISA. But stay tuned, we’ll get that going sometime soon too.
